Okay, you have made your decision to start
an online business. So what is the next step? Well that is where most
people fall prey to the 'quick fix merchants' who offer solutions that promise
you can be up and running within a week!
But seriously, if you have no earthly clue as to what HTML, SEO, CPC, Affiliate
Plans and all that stuff is, do you genuinely think you can just jump in and start
making money on the internet with no prior education or knowledge?
The really bad news is that in order to start
an online business, you must know at least some of these things, or have someone
working for you who does. There is no way around that, so you must do one of two
things. You either hire an employee who can do all these things and more, or 'outsource'
to a company that does it for you to your specifications.

Hiring An Employee or VA To Help You Start An Online Business
Hiring your own employee to manage your internet business literally puts all of
it 'in house' so-to-speak. Your employee will have to run, keep up with, and manage
on a daily basis your website, servers, plus keep current with trends on the Internet.
You might also end up employing more people dedicated strictly to individual tasks
concerned with your business. The challenge here would be the cost.
Putting up a website on your own is very challenging. The time you need and the
software you might want to use will not be cheap and it won't happen overnight.
But hiring people to manage everything for you is not all negative. You have 100%
control of your entire site and everything on it. You can have changes made at
will and have to turn to no one outside of your employ to get it done.
Outsourcing The Technical Aspects Required To Start An Online
Business
Our second choice was to 'outsource' the work of starting
an online business. The disadvantages would be that someone else has control
of the website and the servers at all times. You are in essence 'leasing' the
space and the equipment. Next, they will also have to make the changes you need
on the site unless it is a 'turn key' situation where they lease you the space
and equipment and give you full access to the site and building materials with
which to run it. (Which is a very commonplace practice that many fail to master.)
So what's the upside to this method of starting a business online? First of all
would be the cost. It is more economical to do it this way.
That said - the most economical method of starting an online business is to do
it yourself! And as is true with most people who start any type of business, they
would love to conserve all the cash they can. However... getting and finding all
the training and help you would need can prove to be as bad as playing hopscotch
in a minefield!
